Dr. Sabila Gomaa Mousa

Dr. Sabila Gomaa Mousa serves as Senior Research Supervisor and Academic Consultant at Elsewedy Evidence Center. A distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Al-Azhar University, she brings extensive experience in clinical medicine, medical education, evidence synthesis, and academic leadership. She has held several senior academic and administrative positions at Al-Azhar University, including Head of the Internal Medicine Department, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research at the Faculty of Medicine for Girls, and Director of Al-Zahraa University Hospital. In 2025, she was appointed to lead the Faculty of Medicine for Girls in Cairo as Dean. Her clinical and academic expertise spans Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Immunology, and autoimmune diseases. She has contributed to research in areas including rheumatoid arthritis, Behçet’s disease, autoimmune thyroid disease, diabetes, and inflammatory and immune-mediated disorders. With a career combining clinical expertise, academic leadership, and medical research, Dr. Sabila provides senior oversight and a rigorous evidence-based perspective to our research programs.
